Install Board and Batten Siding in Your Home to Create a Unique Look

Installing board and batten siding is an easy home improvement project that could give your home a more traditional look. Choosing the right materials, tools, and following the proper instructions is important to achieve the results that you desire.

The battens should then be centered over the expansion gaps and nailed along the middle in 12-inch intervals along the length. Using screws instead of nails can make the siding more sturdy, but it will increase the cost of the installation. The battens can also act as trim for corners.

It’s important to exercise caution when handling a power saw while cutting boards. Safety glasses are recommended to avoid eye damage from particles.
