Before beginning, you should review the manufacturer’s instructions that came with your blinds to confirm the exact method of installation. Required tools might include a drill, a #2 Phillips screwdriver, a drill bit, and a power stapler.

The two different methods of installation are inside mount and outside mount. An inside mount requires that you mount the head rail to the upper inside of the window frame. Make sure the bracket is 1” from the outside of the head rail. An outside mount allows you to mount the head rail outside of the window frame and you need to measure to accurately place the bracket.

Once the brackets are mounted, you can attach the head rail to them. First, remove all of the parts from the packaging and open the blinds. Before installing the head rail, make sure the louver stems are perpendicular to the window and in the same direction. Then, snap the head rail into the brackets by inserting the front edges and rotating back.

After the head rail is secured into the brackets, the louvers can be installed. Simply line up the louver with the stem, push it upwards and pull it gently downwards until it clicks into place. If the louvers are not easy to close, make sure all of them are facing the same direction and that the hems are in line.

Finally, attach the wand or the pulley system. If your system uses a wand, simply clip the wand over the loop of the head rail. For the pulley system, attach the lower weight to the wall and thread the cord through the weight.

Now that the installation is complete, you can start enjoying the improved style, functionality, and insulation of your vertical blinds. With proper care and use, your new fabric vertical blinds can offer many years of use.
